SAVINGS
I checked out the grocery flyer for my town. There were a few good deals. Hames were on for $10 ea. I got two of them. Swanson meat pies were on for $2 ea. I got one beef and 1 chicken. I know I can make them cheaper, but 1. I don’t have room for a lot of them, 2. They will come in handy for days I don’t have the will to cook or am too busy. Two family size chocolate bars for $6.00. They are normally $5.99 ea. each one has 21squares so with42 squares that will do me months at one square a week. Yup that’s all I need if at all. Milk was on at $4.99 per 2 lt. Normally it is $6.49. It is lactose free and is good till August 28th. Soup bones were a bit more expensive this week at $8.50 for four bones. The dog likes them once in awhile to help keep his teeth clean and soup season is coming up again soon. They had 2lt coke a cola on for 4 / 5.00. They are normally $3.50 each. Not something I usually buy but nice to have around when we have extended family over. Total was $48.66. Too bad for a specials only shopping trip. I may go back and get some more of those chocolate bars to add to the kids Christmas baskets.
House work wise took out two big bags of junk, put a picture and a big basket out for someone else to love and did the recycling. Cleaned up my closet, made the bed, cleaned up the coffee mess from this morning. I changed out a summer flower arrangement for a fall one. I am excited for fall.
