Birthday Week
What a wonderful week. My birthday was early in the week and we celebrated it last weekend. We played Dutch Blitz and had a wonderfully fun time. We looked at photo books then we had ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. Vanilla and chocolate with whipped topping. The best.
The last few days I’ve have been warmish but super humid. We had a tornado warning on Tuesday. Several appeared but haven’t been confirmed. Where I am the temperature dropped quickly we had a few rumblings of thunder and maybe three minutes of rain. Yup there are still cracks in the grass. I will say that with the humidistat being high today, we may have a repeat as the temperature is to drop significantly this evening.
Sh Who Must Be Obeyed went to visit a newborn today. Wobbly head, sweet smell, downy hair. Wishing we had a newborn around. Red some baby loving. Not for quite a few years. Hang in there Jean the great grands will come. So many memories come flooding back when talking about newborns. Our oldest grandson stayed overnight with us when he was three days old.
I am back to decluttering and in the process am determined to get new couch and loveseat or couch and easy chairs. Mine are so worn out. They are probably only five years old but have had the life lived out of them. The boys sleeping on them, the dog jumping and kneading them, then there’s me. Oh what a mess I can make. That will be a project for next year though. It is amazing how much one accumulates over a life time especially, when one has hobbies. I am rethinking what I want to keep doing and what hobbies are to be given up.
Jean
