Getting Tight
No, not in body.
I did get a large refund from my taxes, so I used it towards debt. Still a long ways to go but I am planning for the end of the year for it to be finished. Things are going to get super tight around here. No to everything except food, gas and one car repair.
I did May’s grocery shop today. There was some good sales, at least good for this date in time. I spent $115.79 which was over by $15. I did get some stuff for my daughter as it was on sale. She brought everything for our Easter brunch, so this will pay her back a bit. I should be good till end of May when I do June’s shop. I aim to only go into the grocery store once a month. With proper care, the vegetables will easily last till then. I only bought one package of meat and one of fish. I still have part of another bag of fish as well as lots of chicken. I am leaning towards more vegetarian meals. I have lots of beans, lentils and legumes. As well I have lots of pasta. Everything is planned out and I will be able to BBQ lots. I still have a few packs of soups and stews.
I do intermittent fasting. I try for 16/8 but most times I end up doing 18/6. Has the weight come off? Yes and no. I lost twenty pounds doing this then, one of my meds changed and contrary to what my Dr. says, I gained fifteen pounds. I am moving lots. Usually get in 10,000 to 13,000 steps and do some exercise. I average any where from 14 miles to 20 miles. It is less than last year but so far it’s been really cold. Hoping winter’s back had been broken and I can do some heavy duty walking.
Today/tomorrow I need to vacuum and do laundry. My weekend is free to hopefully do some hiking.
