I am not having fun in the sun. We have been having one storm after another. The snow, I can understand but the wind. How is it a good thing to have windchills in the -30 to -40C in March. I know, I know, spring comes slow to the prairies. Enough said. We are still to have a few more of these short, fast storms go through in the next week.
Monday
I moved quite a bit of items around to accommodate the millwright who may move in. If he doesn’t, it’s okay, I can just move things around again.
Played lots with Oakley. He too is tired of being inside, though he did go out for a bit on the balcony. Is it called a balcony when it is on the main floor. Should it maybe be called a patio? It is big enough to be one.
We went for a long walk, just as the north wind started blowing.
Other than that it was a regular day.
Tuesday
I swept where I could. The plan was to vacuum but thought better of it as I decided to do the shredding. Five garbage bags full. I think I am caught up with the husband stuff and I am up to 2015 for my stuff. I will go through my files and see if anything else can go. I try to do it yearly for the filed documents and weekly for the junk.
I did my dishes and so far we have walked three times. Even Oakley doesn’t want to be out too long.
Before groooming
After last weeks grooming. He is kinda short, hence, not wanting to go out for long walks.
Not much going on. The usual go pickup meds after finding out my Dr. Is very sick and not likely to be back in before the end of next week. Thankful for our medical system that allows pharmacists to renew our meds for one month. I still have to pick up 16 pills next week as they had run out. I have enough to do till then.
Usual household stuff: do dishes, make bed, sweep the floors. Then I worked on putting a sweater together. I need to finish stitching it together then pick up stitches to knit the collar. Will work on that over the weekend.
Thursday
Same stuff different day. Did go to Co-op to get flyer deals. Would like a canned or boxed goods sale to fill some of my bins. I did get 1 lb of Mexican strawberries which I dehydrated. They smelled so good. I may get another pound this week and do them.
Friday
Continuation of the week. Was super tired so had a snooze for 1 hour. Continued with the dehydrating of the strawberries. They were ready at the end of the day to let them sit in the air to dry out a bit more. Sunday I will put them in a jar to see if they are dry enough.
Saturday
Took a stitchers piece in to be framed. It will be ready in two weeks. Excited to see how it turns out. Also picked up another box. This one for Mr. basketball. Only three more to go for the April and May birthdays. I picked up some Mexican raspberries to dehydrate. As well, I finally found a frame foe the grads picture. Nothing like taking a year to find one. I moved my living and dining room furniture around early this morning. It looks more open and inviting this way.
