February Wrapup

CREATIVITY:

Finished an Afghan. Wove in the tails on another. Worked on my sweater. Ran out of yarn. Can’t find any of the same anywhere…that’s fine. Purchased some of a lighter brown to do the sleeves and the collar. I will add in some embroidery using leftovers of the two colours to tie it all together.

DOWNSIZING:

Got rid of five large bags of stuff that is not needed/ not used/ not worth anything. Got rid of a deer someone’s father made for us gals at work. It was flimsy and was falling apart.

CLEANING:

Got the third small bedroom/ tv room/ library finished. Carpet cleaned. New chair if someone else is here to read or watch tv. Bookcase moved from studio to this room. All books moved. Cleaning as I go on little things…. Washing marks off walls, cleaned the bbq for the upcoming season, took some chair cushions outside as the weather has been sunny and above 0C.

BATCH COOKING:

Made a big batch of Kung Poe with carrots, asparagus, onions, cabbage and peppers. Protein was chicken, a big batch of curry with chicken and scallops.

CHRISTMAS/ BIRTHDAYS:

I have one birthday present purchased and made the Afghan as a Christmas present. The reason I purchased the gift was it is a girly box to use as a jewelry box. I am hoping to teach the grandkids to use the boxes I give them to use them to store cash in. At some point banks will let us down, or power will be out etc.

All in all a great February. As I write this it is snowing as it does. March is such an up and down month.
