Spring...is or isn’t it in the air

Finally we have some warmer temperatures. Roughly going up to +2-+3C each day. Why are the temps so slow to rise? Well it is because of all the darn snow we have had so far. I say so far as we can have snow well into May..or longer. The sun is strong enough to melt but due to the snow pack, the suns rays boomerang back into space. Once we see open ground, it snow will melt faster. The, onto the next bit of spring. That would be flood season. They say so far it will be on par with 2011. Oh joy!

What have I been up to?

1. Had to put Dexter down. His heart had doubled in size and pushing up on his trachea. His trachea was narrowing further down. Fluid around his heart and his lungs. Tried heart meds and diuretics to get the fluid down, but no go. I didn’t want him to suffer any more than he had.

2. Daughter’s oldest cat was also put down. BooBoo developed a fast growing cancer in his bellly. He was around 15-16. Still hard to let go of him.

3. Slowly working on projects. Birthday season 1 starts for us in April. I don’t want to buy presents. I am trying to make everyone something. We have six birthdays in April. May is better.

4. They have taken away all of our Covid regulations with the exception of wearing a mask to medical appointments. Other than that it is up to each individual establishment whether they want clients to wear masks.

5. I am still living as frugally as possible. As with everywhere else, prices are going up. It is still possible to get good deals on stock up items.

6. Latest is that daughter’s other cat is pretty sick right now. They will know in about seven days if Marley has lung cancer or if it is a deep infection or scar tissue.

Hoping to start walking again.

Still Warm

November 12th and still warming. We hit 9C today, but the wind was brutal. 45-75km/hr. Mr. Oakley  could pass for the dog in the Never Endi...
