Yay Me

 Yesterday would have been my 45th wedding anniversary. I was surprised. I wasn’t emotional about it all week. I got up yesterday morning and thought I would like to go out. All was arranged with daughter and granddaughter. We did some chores then trundled over to my favourite garden center. The do Christmas right. We looked - oooohed and awed over everything. Chose some “your coming home with me” items, took pictures with the grinch. From there we made one more chore stop and then off to The Keg for lunch. The Keg is a steak house. Expensive - yes but much enjoyed. Miss Jade wanted lobster. She is a tiny lady and cannot eat much at one sitting. She is a grazer. We compromised. I had their full meal deal and I added a lobster tail for her. Daughter had French onion soup (I also had it) and their Cesar salad with blackened chicken breast. My meal included the Cesar salad, the main course had grilled zucchini and peppers, a baked potato and a small steak done to perfection. Then we shared a slice of cherry cheesecake. By then we needed to hustle. Daughter had to get home to give BooBoo his insulin shot. It was a beautiful day in remembrance of Glenn. It was only part way through the meal that I realized it was the same table that Glenn and I had sat at the last time we went to there for our anniversary dinner. Bonus!

Now back to Christmas prep.
