Livelihood gone

The golf course where my son is general manager went up in flames a few ours ago. I am devastated. I cannot fathom how he must be feeling. For sure the clubhouse is gone. It remains to be seen whether the cart garage and the pro shop are also damaged and if so how much. Yes, there is insurance. The course closed early due to the drought. It could have easily stayed open until the end of October and still got the greens ready for spring. Because of that he already lost over a months income. He usually runs winter golf school. That is gone now. All he stock will be damaged by smoke water and heat. All his information is on the computers in the shop. Will they still work? He is to go to a new course then end of January. Wondering if that will be possible now. Thinking of how it will affect tax season. Hope all is not lost.

Daughter had a riot at work yesterday. Took eight hours to get it calmed down. No staff were injured but the buildings are in bad shape. Then when she got home, she received a subpoena.

Granddaughter is on the hissy list. She wants aunts to take her shopping. How does this gal not understand that dad has no income as of right now.

What a day.
